Fall Trend Spotlight: Leather + Haute Hues

August 6th, 2018

Hello, fall — its me, Jordan. Won’t you come out and play?

Seriously, fall is my FAVORITE season and I am more than ready to greet these colorful and crisp months with three trends worth trying: bold white, ravishing red and all the leather you can handle.

The good news? All you need to update your wardrobe is a few key pieces that represent these “it” trends. How about a pop of color handbag or earring? This is the season to funk up your accessories, and have a little fun with fashion. Or, opt for a make-a-statement t-shrt, like my go-to GRL POWER cutie. Paired with this to-die-for pleated leather midi skirt, my fall wardrobe is already doing the happy dance.

Is there anything more simple yet elegant than a fierce A-line black leather skirt? The style is a fashion mainstay, thanks to its flattering silhouette and comfort. But I can’t get enough of this modern version from Rebecca Taylor, which boasts a high waist, unexpected “school girl” pleats and plenty of attitude. The contemporary styling with a tee perfectly lends itself to the office with a blazer; date night with cropped leather topper; or weekend with a boyfriend denim jacket.

The accents are the star of this style show, bringing a minimalist vibe to this lovely look. This bold red fringe earrings becomes the focus of the look, with their punch of color. To better emphasize the earrings, I chose a complimentary hued handbag. I also added a cute pair of clear mirrored sunglasses to make sure I wasn’t competing with the earrings. But it’s perhaps the shoes that give the look it’s most unexpected fall statement. A sophisticated white pump gives this look fall-trend love from head to toe.

Reds, true white and leather are making a bold statement for fall, so why not try to integrate a few of key these trends into your favorite looks now?
