Floral Fab

April 21st, 2018

Spring fashion is all about flower power. From fun blooming dresses and blouses to botanical jumpsuits, chiffon floral skirts and even blazers, this season is a venerable garden of fashionable buds. But even with all the colorful florals adorning separates and accessories, my heart will always belong to the floral dress. Here’s a look at one of my favorite floral dresses — and it’s no shrinking violet.

I admit it; I’m a sucker for a fabulous floral maxi or midi dress. On days when I want to look sharp but my brain can’t quite create the perfect outfit, I reach for one of these posh frocks that never disappoint. I often opt for dark florals, since I have an affinity for the classic simplicity of the color black. But yellows and shades of red are one haute trend for spring and summer.

I am a simple girl at heart; and that extends to my accessories. When you are wearing a stunning floral dress, I think it’s best to let it be the centerpiece and major statement. However, I feel naked without the appropriate accessories. A killer white vegan leather jacket from Zara is a spring staple for me, and I love how it adds a hard edge to this otherwise soft look. To give the look a retro pop, I added white Asos sunglasses that complement the dress and jacket, my favorite pair of statement white chandelier earrings from Kendra Scott and of course my black lace-up cage sandals that amp up the sex appeal. Together, it’s a recipe for floral fabulousness.

Beautiful botanicals are a chic statement for spring style success. Which dress will be your perfect floral match?
