Four Eyes are Better than Two
March 5th, 2017
I’ve had glasses as long as I can remember. As a teen in the ’90s, they were large and purple. When college approached, I went the wire-rimmed route. Later, rectangular frames were my shape of choice. But today, as I approach my 40s and have — finally — learned what looks best on my face shape, it’s all about having fun with shape, color and personality.
That’s why I am thankful for Warby Parker. Not only can I order five unique frames for a Home Try-On but the frames are fab quality — and won’t break the bank. I usually order a new pair every year, as well as prescription sunnies.
This spring, I wanted to try out some of Warby Parker’s new spring styles and trends, like bold tortoise (usually my frame of choice), blush pink (swoon!), shades of blue and flat-brow frames. I was digging almost all of them (not sure if blue is for me …) and was even pleasantly surprised by the flat brows, which I thought would make me look like a grandpa, or worse: a hipster wannabe. Luckily, this was not the case.
I teamed up with my talented friend photographer Lottie Lillian to capture the Home Try-On process and share it with my friends. I know which frames I am loving; which is your fav?
You can experience your own Home Try-On as well, by simply clicking through the Warby Parker ad on this page. Good luck, and happy frame finding!
Frames, top to bottom: Laurel, Fletcher, Durand, Roland, Olive.
