The Luxe Life
November 10th, 2017
I don’t know about you, but I am all about luxurious fabrics and styles this season. These timeless statements in plush pastels to animal prints, metallics and rich jewel tones are popping up everywhere — especially for the holidays. I have always been a girl who crushes on luxe, and thanks to versatile leather pants, statement shoes, posh layered coat looks, bold hosiery and just the right amount of fur and sequins, my fall and winter wardrobe takes on its own luxe personality.
When I was styling this season’s New & Now shows for Bon-Ton Department Stores (which includes Boston Store, Younkers, Carson’s, Bergner’s, Herberger’s, Elder-Beerman and Bon-Ton), I made sure to incorporate plenty of these lush fabrics and chic statements into the looks that graced the runway. Here are a few of my favorite luxe looks. Which will have you shining bright this holiday season?
A structured sequined top is perfectly balanced by body-skimming faux leather leggings. Metallic tassel pumps add the perfect pop of menswear chic with a feminine twist.

True story: The first model I put this dress on immediately bought it and wore it to a wedding the same day! This stunning special occasion dress (it’s only $89!) is the perfect translation of the one-shoulder trend, and is given a modern edge when paired with stiletto sock booties. And you’ll definitely want to click the link on those boots to see the jeweled heel!

Red alert! This look is so hot it’ll melt the winter chill. Topping off this printed sheath dress, a soft shawl collar coat makes a bold statement.

This school girl has a wild side! The look is layered love, thanks to a faux-leather swing skirt, blush sweater (click the link to see the fun bell sleeve!) with delicate details, a versatile wool coat and show-stopping hosiery and open-toe booties. The hat and glasses top off the look with just the right amount of school spirit. (The booties are only $36 on Yellow Dot Clearance!)

I live for mixing fabrics, and this look is a master class in the art! The jacquard coat tops off this lace bustier dress with sophistication and luxury. The addition of printed heels complements the nude lining of the dress and adds dimension to the layered look.

Animal prints are always a do — especially when they are popping a body-slimming illusion dress (and it’s a steal at $59!). Simply add an over-the-knee boot, and you’re ready for anything from the boardroom to date night.
