What to Wear Now: 5 Must-Have Florals

August 10th, 2018

Just like the outdated “white after Labor Day” rule, I refuse to stop wearing florals when the leaves turn from bright green to deep burgundy. That’s why I love investing in new floral pieces in August (when they are often on sale) and finding new and cool ways to integrate them into my wardrobe for the remaining summer weeks and upcoming chillier seasons.

And I love a good maxi dress. It’s a versatile style that easily transitions from season to season with a little thoughtful layering (cute jacket toppers, tees or t-necks layered beneath, worn over jeans — the options are endless). This simple and chic floral maxi from Nordstrom (that’s under $100, BTW) has been getting a workout this month and that will continue as the temps start to dip. That’s why I paired it with this fun boyfriend leather jacket that is my new most-coveted topper for fall. There’s something about the marriage of “hard” leather and “soft” romantic florals that gets me every time. Opposites attract, I guess!

Beautiful botanicals are a chic statement for all-season style success. Which trend will be your perfect floral match? Keep reading to see a few more of my fav of-the-moment floral trends.
